Cute Little Illustrations
Babies...babies...babies!! Who doesn't love a baby or whimsical illustrations that are inspired by them. Soft colors, happy themes, and child like curiosity characterize these illustrations by David Walker.

Don't Be a Honut While Playing Scrabble
Words that work in Scrabble:
Turfing
???
??
?
Words that don't:
Honut
???
??
?
I like testing the limits of language when I play Scrabble.
Saturday afternoons sitting at the kitchen table with my mom, Grandma, and Nick (poor guy, gets roped in every time), are never complete without at least one round of this highly intellectual game...that is, highly intellectual until I start making up my own words - like Honut...I was certain that that was a legit word but according to Nick's handy iphone app, it wasn't! Can you believe it! I swear I've heard that before, as in "That girl is such a honut!" or "Get your honut self back here right this minute!" Or "Change right now before you leave the house, you honut."
Whatever! Even Grandma wouldn't accept THAT one.
Until next time Scrabble!

Corn Cupcakes
Corn cupcakes that a co-worker brought to our 9th Chili Cook-off.
Amazing.
The butter is laffy taffy. The kernels are jelly bellys. Just another fun Friday afternoon at Roxy.

Do You Realize...
...that you have the most beautiful face.
The Flaming Lips at the Fox Theater in Pomona was amazing.
Confetti flew from the sky.
Laser pointers commanded by the audience made Wayne look like a being of light.
Animal creatures danced on the stage. And we left the concert in an euphoric state.
